Prospective students may submit either the SAT or the ACT for consideration. Loyola looks at the best composite score for the ACT. For the SAT, Loyola looks at the highest verbal/critical reading subscore combined with the highest math subscore for the highest composite score. The writing component of the SAT and ACT will not be used for admission, but may be used for English placement. Being a selective institution, Loyola looks at the test scores in conjunction with all the other elements of an applicant's application. Each application is reviewed individually.
