When I visited the campus before my freshman year, I was immediately drawn to the school and the area surrounding Loyola. After coming to the campus and seeing New Orleans for the first time, I realized this was going to be the best place for me. With Jean Lafitte National Park a 30-minute drive away and the brand-new environment program in place, I knew that Loyola was going to be perfect. My best advice to a new student is to choose a university that immediately makes you feel comfortable. When looking at your future, you want to be somewhere that not only challenges you but also can be seen as your second home. That is exactly what Loyola has offered me. I have teachers constantly challenging me to look forward and make decisions now based on what I want to do once I graduate. I have also found myself surrounded by friends and classmates who care about how my day is going and care about me. Loyola is my second home and I can honestly say that choosing to go to college at Loyola was one of the best decisions I have made.
