When I first visited Loyola, I was totally lost in terms of choosing where to go to college. I toured a lot of different universities, but I didn’t really feel like any of them were for me until I came to New Orleans. I immediately felt right at home both on campus and in the city, even though it was my first time ever coming to Louisiana. It’s hard to articulate exactly what it was that caught my attention, but it was very clear to me that Loyola was a community of people I wanted to be a part of. Everyone I met was unbelievably warm and welcoming, and I really appreciated the emphasis that the school puts on taking care of the whole person, not just the student in the classroom. My best advice to a prospective student is to choose the school that feels right, not just the one that looks right on paper. Tour as many schools as you can and go with the place that you honestly think will help make you the happiest person you can be.
