Self-Guided Campus Tours

If you are in the New Orleans area when the university is closed or would like to explore Loyola on your own, we offer a self-guided walking tour, which you can take at your own pace. Print our SELF-GUIDED WALKING TOUR or stop by the Office of Admissions in Thomas Hall (1st floor) to pick up a copy.

Virtual Campus Tours

If you want to explore Loyola from a far or before actually visiting campus, we have a virtual campus tour. The virtual tour features facilities and touches programs and campus life at Loyola. There are also videos with tours of our residential halls, student stories, and exploring the greater New Orleans area!

Class Visits

We encourage prospective students to observe a college class while on campus. Class visits are available Monday – Friday during the fall and spring semesters. All class visits should be scheduled 2 weeks in advance and are subject to availability. This option is not available during Saturday visits and during the summer semesters. Please contact the Office of Admissions at (504) 865-3240 or email us at for more information or to schedule a class visit.

Faculty and Department Meetings

If you wish to speak with someone in your area of academic interest or with a specific department (including athletics and financial aid/scholarships), we can schedule a faculty or department meeting as part of your campus visit experience. All meetings should be scheduled 2 weeks in advance and are subject to availability. This option is not available during Saturday visits and is very limited during the summer semesters. Please contact the Office of Admissions at (504) 865-3240 or email us at for more information or to schedule a faculty and department meeting.

Visit Options for Transfer Students

Transfer students can request 30-minute individual appointments with a transfer admissions counselor instead of participating in the general admissions presentation. The appointment will include information about Loyola and an overview of the admissions process; and are normally scheduled before or after campus tours.

Campus visits for individuals and groups are scheduled throughout the year, but we also invite you to participate in one of our annual programs or special events where you can also experience life at Loyola!
